Livestream Update (02/09/20)

Titans!

The Dawn of Titans team will not be able to bring you our scheduled Livestream whilst we work from home during this period. We will instead get all upcoming event and Titan information to you through our blog every Wednesday.

But fear not – Matt, Dom and Haig will return, and we want to assure you that Dawn of Titans and the whole development team will continue working hard, running all events, releasing updates, and generally keeping the game awesome!

CONQUEST UPDATE

We are aware of a number of issues with the current Conquest event, and have released a fix that should prevent a selection of Titans from achieving unintentionally high scores in Conquest battles. In addition, we have heard your feedback, and will be returning the battle drops to those found in the Hades Conquest for the next event (we will be removing 1* drops for the next Conquest event). Thank you for submitting these issues to our support teams, and look out for a free bundle going live in the game before the end of the week to thank you for your patience and feedback.

We also want to apologize for not having our Bi-Weekly Q&A post go live last week, but please do continue to get your questions in for us, and we will get an extra-large, bumper-edition Q&A post live on 11th September.

ANTI-CHEATING UPDATE

Recently we investigated a specific hack which various long-standing DoT players and content creators alluded to in a number of livestream discussions and Q&A submissions. We were able to identify and ban hundreds of cheater accounts early on in the Crothos event as a direct result of this. Repeatedly duplicating any item, or collecting rewards without legitimately earning the required Souls, will result in a permanent ban. Every account meeting either of these criteria will be identified and reviewed during all upcoming events. 

We are continuing to expand the scope of our anomaly detection and automated banning that covers Gems, Divine Gems, Boost Relics, Souls, Tokens, 5* Relics, Divine Titans & Titan Prestige. For obvious reasons, providing detail on these is counterproductive, but we look into all fair play issues and have a zero-tolerance policy for hackers and cheaters in Dawn of Titans. 

In light of the recent issues, we want to emphasise that unintentionally benefitting from a bug or glitch is not used as a ban criterion. Examples include the recent Conquest score bug and ‘RSS’ food/gold resource glitch. However, repeated use of exploits that require abnormal player behaviour to achieve (e.g. setting a device to Airplane Mode mid-game) will get flagged by our system, and will be manually reviewed by the team, possibly resulting in a permanent ban.

Finally, we want to thank the community again for bringing these issues to our attention, and the continued discussion around cheating from within the Discord channel, the Line chats, YouTube content comments section, and our own Customer Support and Q&A channels.

1.39 UPDATE

We are fast-approaching the release of our next update – 1.39.0 – and we wanted to share with you some details before next week’s full 1.39 update blog post.

For this update, the team put a lot of focus into the early Castle Levels and new player experience – we have improved rewards, revamped and shortened the tutorials, and significantly reduced the cost and time for upgrading buildings, troops and spells at these lower levels. We want players to reach a strong competitive position earlier, so a number of other small changes have been made to ensure this.

In 1.39, a new monthly-rolling login calendar will be available, with better rewards, and a new All Element Titan Token. This token can be redeemed at the ALL ELEMENT TITAN altar from within the Temple. This altar guarantees a 4* Titan with each use (please note: all new players, and those returning to Dawn of Titans after a significant hiatus, will be presented with different calendars).

We heard your feedback and have removed the troops, spells and gold as rewards, as we are aware this can cause an unwanted build up of unclaimed rewards in the Treasure Room. Where possible, we have replaced these with Tokens, Shards and XP Potions of higher value. As with all changes in our new releases, we want to hear your feedback, so please post to our social channels and write in with your questions using the ‘Submit your Questions’ button on this site.

In addition, we’ve added a number of new collections to the Titan Pantheon with all-new prizes for completing them (prizes will be revealed in the 1.39 update blog post). The collections we’ve added are:

  • Winter Titans I

ALLIANCE WAR – Eros – EVENT DETAILS:

Love is in the air this Thursday 3rd September, when Eros the Physical Ranger returns to the battlefield with his unique Rage ability.

TEMPLE FESTIVAL – THE WAR GODS

On September 7th, all previously-released War God Titans will be available from a new Altar in the Temple. This Altar will only be available for a limited time, and for 60,000 gems, there is an equal chance of getting any of the seven prior-released War God Titans. They are:

A day later, on September 8th, a special War God Relics Altar will then also be available alongside the Titan one. For 10,000 gems, this Altar will grant you a chance of getting one of the following Relics:
